Other sights: An immaculate Dutch civilian cemetary is 2 km west of Semarang, for those who died in camps during WW II. At Weleri, surviving teakwood forests, grey monkeys scamper over roadsides. Patol Sarang is a small village near Rembang where wrestling games (patol) are performed by fishermen during moonlit nights. Rawapening Lake, the largest lake in Central Java and surrounded by mountains and green hills, has a most unusual great marsh of floating rice paddies.
