Pasar Triwindu: Off JI. Diponegoro. this is the Flea Market of Solo, an easy walk from Kraton Mangkunegaran. Bric-a-brac of every description: brass inlaid belt buckles, uniform buttons, hanging oil lamps, stoneware bottles, old bell jars, ornate cruet sets, statuettes, goblets, tiles, teakwood furniture and carvings, rare antiques (many Chinese antiques), lamps, pottery, porcelain, teacups, and much more from the gilt and candlelabra decades of the 20's and 30's. (The Dutch were settling in for keeps/) Triwindu is cheaper than most markets on Java. Some prize items but a lot of worthless junk as well, so bargain hot and heavy for everything.
