Another, less peaceful, place is Rumah Penginapan right inside the bus station, Rp250 or Rp375 for two. Lots of eating places. In Desa Tamperan, 5 km out of Pacitan down the coast, is a pasanggrahan, but only has two rooms and is often filled with pegawi. Tamperan is in a little cove and the pasanggrahan is up on a hill with a swimming pool and nice gardens. A warung in the desa serves rice, fish and vegetables, Rp100. The dokar ride out there and back for Rp500 is a joy. On the way you pass a classical Greek mortuary temple. from Pacitan: To Solo by bus is Rp350 (pay Rp50 extra for a good seat), 105 km, 4 hours. The last bus leaves at around 2 pm.
