Take buses to Sumbawa Besar on Tues. and Sat., Rp1500. It's quite easy to get a boat from Bima to Labuhanbajo, Flores, but most don't stop at Komodo. Bargain with the captain; a fair price is Rp3000-4000. There are also boats from Bima to Lombok's port of Lembar, Rp4000, but they could take up to 8 days. Sometimes a Pelni ship runs from Bima to Kupang. There are about 3 ships per week from Bima to Surabaya carrying cattle, copra, rice and passengers.
