There are also ordinary buses to: Sibolga, Rp1500; Pekanbaru, Rp500, leaving at least 4 times daily; Lake Toba, Rp1800; Lubuklinggau, Rp4250; Muaratebo, Rp2250; Prapat, Rp1800. Bus bookings can be made from most hotels and sometimes the bus will even come around and pick you up. Lake Toba: This 12 hour bus journey is less gruesome if you stop overnight at Sibolga, 12 hours by bus from Bukittinggi.
