Acehnese society Parents buy a house for each daughter when she gets married and usually end their lives in a shack surrounded by the houses of their daughters. At birth, if the umbilical cord doesn't come all the way out it's believed that it can crawl back into the womb and kill her. After birth women can't leave the house for 45 days and there are also many dietary prohibitions. Her bodyis 'roasted' over hot bricks which will make her trim and healthy again.
