ubud
Ubud
is a remarkable town in the middle of the island of
Bali. If you’re looking for culture, comfort,
nature and inspiration, Ubud is the place to be. If
you want to go shopping, you should definitely go
there. The main shopping area is centered around three
large, interconnected shopping streets: Jalan Raya,
Jalan Hanoman and Jalan Dewi Sita. Here you can find
all kinds of things; ancient antiques, the latest
designs, cheap souvenirs, |
modern
masterpieces of art, useful objects and whimsical
trinkets. Prices vary widely, and bargaining is the
norm. Try it, but always be polite.
Ubud is
surrounded by most of the rarities that bring people
to Bali like scenic rice fields, small villages, art
and craft communities, ancient temples, palaces and
rivers. And its central position makes it easy to
get from Ubud to the mountains, the beaches, and other
major towns. |
