Bedugul & North Bali Inclusive Lunch

Bali’s northern coastline is a stark and interesting contrast to the green and golden rice fields of the south and the misty rainforests of the Central Highlands.
Taking the scenic road through Bedugul, a stop will be arranged at a restaurant for coffee break (not included) and to enjoy the magnificent view down across the valley.  At 1,500 meters above the sea level, Bedugul is a cool mountain retreat nestled on the shores of the placid Lake Bratan, filling the crater of an extinct volcano. Visit Candi Kuning market to discover up-close the fascinating variety of exotic produce grown in the area’s fertile volcanic soil. The market is piled high with neat, colourful displays of exotic fruits and vegetables as well as a bright array of orchids.

Next stop is Bedugul to visit the peaceful and sacred temple of Ulun Danu.  Built by the King of Mengwi in 1633, the temple with its classis 11 tiered thatched roof merus is dedicated to the lake goddess and protector of all living things.
A couple of kilometers further north from Bedugul, we will pass Puncak village where some monkeys are playing along the road. The monkeys survive in the surrounding forest.

Stop for a walk through the jungle to see Gitgit waterfall. Renowned as Bali’s most dramatic waterfall, the cool cascading waters are surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.

From Gitgit we leave the hills and drop down to the north coast and the city of Singaraja. This rich historical past has made Singaraja the important cultural and educational center that it is today.

After about six kilometers we arrive at Lovina, a long deserted stretch of black sand, bordering numerous coastal fishing villages. Uncrowded and unspoilt, this is an excellent spot for swimming and snorkeling due to the shallow offshore reef.
The return trip takes you along a different route via Pupuan, through coffee plantations and spectacular terraced rice fields.

On the way, stop at Mayong village for photo stop background by rice terrace. A coffee stop (not included) at a local warung stall could also be made at Blimbing Village, for stretching and enjoy the scenery.
